Showers and thunderstorms trained across portions of southern Essex County, NY during the afternoon of July 24, 2023. Radar estimates and ground observations showed between two and four inches of rain fell in the affected area, leading to a few reports of flash flooding, most notably in the Paradox, NY area where a few roads were reported washed out.
