D2 drought conditions were already in place at the start of the month, however ample moisture in August resulted in diminishing coverage of severe drought conditions. Wheaton topped out with 5.41 inches of moisture during the course of the month, which is 2.69 inches above average, though this fell almost exclusively during the first half of August.
