Event narrative
A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated near 60 mph knocked down trees and wires near the intersection of Mount Pleasant Road and Lick Run Road west of Orangeville.
Wider weather episode
Scattered showers and thunderstorms developed over central Pennsylvania during the early afternoon hours, with a couple of cells producing wind damage. Storms eventually coalesced into a broken line of discrete cells that crossed the Susquehanna Valley during the evening hours, producing sporadic wind damage.
