Peak gust at Bayou Bienvenue gusting to 50mph or 43knots.
Wider weather episode
A line of thunderstorms developed along a cold front draped across Arkansas and Tennessee. These storms organized into a Mesoscale Convective System (MCS). As this happened, the storms began to race south to the Gulf Coast. Some of these storms were strong enough to produce severe marine winds.
