Wider weather episode
An area of low pressure over northern Manitoba trailed a cold front across the Northland on July 3rd. Storms developed ahead of the front during the afternoon and evening hours with storms becoming strong to severe across northwest Wisconsin. These storms took on a linear mode with an associated damaging wind threat as they moved across the region. These damaging winds led to reports of downed trees and powerlines as they progressed to the east.
