Event narrative

A supercell thunderstorm that started in Pickens County tracked across the far northeast corner of Greene County and then entered southwest Tuscaloosa County. The storm uprooted several large trees along County Road 156.

Wider weather episode

A very active pattern of northwest flow continued over Alabama June 16th through June 19th. Numerous upper short waves traversed through the zonal flow which resulted in several days of severe weather across Central Alabama.
