Event narrative

A thunderstorm produced very strong winds that caused a tree to fall on a deck. Approximate diameter of the tree is 18 inches. The house was not damaged. Wind gusts were estimated at 60-70 mph. A nearby Mesonet station (WLSNV) 2.3 E Wells reported a wind gust of 81 mph at the time of the tree damage. Station Elevation is 5845 feet.

Wider weather episode

A cutoff low produced multiple days of heavy rain. Hazards that resulted included gusty severe winds, flooding, funnel clouds, hail, and tree damage.
