Numerous reports of trees and powerlines down on roads and houses in the Winterville area.
Wider weather episode
A broken line of strong to marginally severe thunderstorms moved into Northwest GA and continued southeast through the late afternoon and evening hours. Storms were strongest over parts of far northwest GA, and generally weakened as they moved to the southeast. Primary hazards included damaging winds with several reports of large hail as mid level lapse rates were rather steep.
