Hail up to the size of nickels fell in Jigger.

Supercell thunderstorms developed across the area during the afternoon as strong instability developed south of a frontal boundary and ahead of an upper short wave. Severe hail fell in numerous Parishes, some as large as 1.75 inches, or approximately golf ball size.
