Event narrative
Numerous trees were blown down throughout the county. Widespread flash and river flooding was reported. Numerous roadways were impassable and water entered structures. Some structural and roof damage occurred with winds reported as high as 46 mph. Highest rainfall measurement of 13.55 inches was reported in Holly Hill.
Wider weather episode
Lifting up out of the Big Bend of Florida, Hurricane Idalia weakened to a Tropical Storm as it moved out of southeastern Georgia. The tropical system then moved northeast along the coastal plain of South Carolina. This system produced scattered tree damage, some flooding and one confirmed tornado.
