A heat wave impacted the Coachella Valley starting on July 1st and lasted through the 3rd. Highs each afternoon at Palm Springs International Airport topped out at 117 degrees each afternoon on the 1st through the 3rd, while Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport (KTRM) reported highs of 115, 111, and 115 on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively. Excessive Heat Warnings were in effect during this time.
