A heat wave impacted the San Diego County Deserts starting on July 1st and lasted through the 3rd. Highs each afternoon at Borrego Valley Airport topped out at 113 degrees on the 1st and 2nd, and hit 115 degrees on the 3rd. Excessive Heat Warnings were in effect during this time.
