A cooperative weather observer near Burwell reported three separate rounds of hail. The largest occurred around 515 AM CST and measured up to half dollar size.

Thunderstorm clusters, including some supercells, moved southeast across portions of north central Nebraska during the early morning hours of July 18. Some hail was significantly severe, measuring over 2 inches.
