Wider weather episode
An isolated supercell initially moved south through the panhandle during the mid and late afternoon hours of July 18, which was responsible for very large hail and some damaging winds. Additional storms developed ahead of that cell toward the Colorado border. A second round of storms, including clusters and a supercell, moved through north central Nebraska shortly after and produced very large hail.
