Event narrative

The Milford Municipal Airport/Ben and Judy Briscoe Field ASOS recorded an initial wind gust of 58 mph at 2:50 pm MST, followed by wind gusts to 70 mph through 3:05 pm MST. These gusts were the result of outflow winds associated with a line of showers and thunderstorms moving through the area.

Wider weather episode

A shift in the atmospheric pattern from mid to late July brought an array of impacts to much of Utah, including severe thunderstorm wind gusts, large hail, and flash flooding.
