Event narrative

Hampton County dispatch reported that two large tree limbs were down along Augusta Highway near the Allendale/Hampton county line. The limbs were large enough that cars had to divert around them.

Wider weather episode

Clusters of strong thunderstorms moved into southeast South Carolina from the South Carolina Midlands and southeast Georgia in the late afternoon hours ahead of a cold front. These thunderstorms then tracked to the east through the evening and produced damaging wind gusts.
