Event narrative
Thunderstorm winds blew down three trees along Wilson Highway, near the intersections with County Line Road, and Fox Creek Road, as well as near the intersection of Maple Road and Gold Hill Road. One of the trees fell on a vehicle.
Wider weather episode
A slow-moving cold front dropping south from the Ohio Valley. As this front encountered an airmass with modest shear and very unstable conditions, it allowed allowed for afternoon thunderstorms to develop. Some of these storms were discrete and produced large hail. After the storms began to merge into bowing segments, damaging winds resulted.
