County comms reported numerous trees and power lines blown down across Oconee County.

Wider weather episode

Scattered thunderstorms developed near the Blue Ridge escarpment during the afternoon and moved southeast across the foothills and upper piedmont during the late afternoon and evening. A few of the storms produced brief damaging wind gusts, including one significant downburst in the Pickens area.
