County comms reported a few trees blown down between the Franklin area and Highlands.

Wider weather episode

Scattered thunderstorms developed over the North Carolina mountains during the afternoon. A couple of these storms produced brief damaging wind gusts. A weakening line of thunderstorms then moved into the mountains from east Tennessee late in the evening. These storms produced additional isolated damaging wind gusts.
