Wider weather episode

A line of thunderstorms developed along a pre frontal surface trough during the afternoon. These storms briefly became severe with damaging winds and large hail observed as they crossed western portions of the Niagara Frontier. The storms then weakened as they pushed across the rest of western New York late in the afternoon.
