Event narrative

Approximately 30 trees down east of Maxeys in southern Oglethorpe County. Worst of damage was along McWhorter Drive where a shed was rolled over and destroyed in addition to the trees down.

Wider weather episode

Daytime heating fueled several strong to marginally severe storms across the area on both the afternoon/evening of July 7th and 8th. The hardest hit areas were across parts of east-central GA, around the town of Jefferson (Jackson County) and also over southern Oglethorpe county (July 8th).
