Heat index values ranged from 110 to 113 degrees.

The upper level ridge over northern Mexico moved back into the south Texas region by the 8th. The ridge built over the region through the middle part of the month. With high humidity, the heat index values became dangerously high again. Heat index values ranged from 110 to 115 degrees on the 8th and 9th and rose to excessive values of 115 to 120 for the 11th and 12th over the Coastal Bend. Dangerous heat index values occurred over the Brush Country also.
