Overnight lows ranged from 26 to 29 degrees across the area, including a low of 29 degrees at the Steamboat Springs Airport/Bob Adams Field.

Wider weather episode

Abnormally cold temperatures filtered into Western Colorado in the wake of a shortwave trough. This led to subfreezing temperatures across some of the northwest valleys where vegetation was susceptible to damage.
