Event narrative

Approximately 1 inch of sleet and freezing rain fell on top of 2 to 3 inches of snow in the Hood River and White Salmon areas.

Wider weather episode

Precipitation fell as snow over the South Washington Cascades and foothills for an extended period of time before the much warmer systems moved in and changed all the precipitation to rain.
