Thunderstorm winds blew down numerous large tree limbs around town.

An outflow boundary in the vicinity of I-70 was the focus of thunderstorm development. The air mass along and south of this boundary was quite unstable with surface based CAPE of 3500+ J/kg with decent convergence. There were numerous reports of large hail and some damaging winds.
