Heavy accumulations of dime to nickel size hail was observed on the ground.

A large scale weather system interacted with an unstable and moist airmass to produce severe storms over parts of eastern NM. Accumulating hail and minor flooding were observed in Las Vegas, along with a severe thunderstorm wind gust at Tucumcari.
