A spotter measured 2 inches of rainfall in the past hour. Water was over roadways along Mud Lake Road, between State Road 121 and County Road 229.

The wider storm

A wake trough in trailing the departure of Hurricane Idalia lingering across NE FL. This feature combined with high tropical moisture, diurnal instability and the inland progressing west coast sea breeze produced localized heavy, flooding rainfall.
