The District Ranger for the U.S. Forest Service in Las Vegas reported half-dollar sized hail at their district office building. Hail damage to the roof was reported with a leak resulting from the damage.

Wider weather episode

A large scale weather system interacted with an unstable and moist airmass to produce severe storms over parts of eastern NM. Accumulating hail and minor flooding were observed in Las Vegas, along with a severe thunderstorm wind gust at Tucumcari.
