Several maple, oak and pine trees were blown down in the storm.

Wider weather episode

A few strong to marginally severe thunderstorms developed during the late afternoon hours of the 28th across northwest Wisconsin. An area of stronger instability was in place across Burnett County and a few of the storms there produced minor wind damage to trees along with some quarter-sized hail.
