A peak wind gust of 75mph was measured at 0622AKST at the Hydaburg Seaplane Base. Other areas on Prince of Wales Island also measured sustained winds above 40mph for a period of 1 to 3 hours and the Thorne Bay RAWS had a peak gust of 67mph.

A weakening low moving rapidly northward over the panhandle brought high winds to the southern panhandle and to Juneau.
