Daytime highs across the zone reached the 90s to 105 degrees on July 15 and 16. Overnight lows were in the mid 70s to low 80s.

Excessive heat over a Mid-July weekend brought very hot temperatures to interior northern California and Major HeatRisk. Widespread triple digit temperatures were observed in the Valley and foothills. Redding Municipal Airport reached 111 degrees. Record high temperatures were set at Sacramento (109 degrees), Stockton (109) and Sacramento Executive Airport (107) for July 16th. Very warm overnight low temperatures were also observed, generally in the 70s to mid 80s. Records were set for overnight temperatures on July 17th, with Sacramento reaching 76 degrees, Sacramento Executive Airport reaching 72 degrees, and Modesto Airport reaching 75 degrees. Redding Municipal Airport tied it's previous record of 83 degrees for the morning low. Warmest lows were observed in northern Sacramento Valley and surrounding foothills.
