Five homes, a few out buildings were lightly damaged from downburst winds. Numerous trees were also damaged or downed in the area.

Wider weather episode

A weak cold front drifted into Central Louisiana during a heat wave. The very hot and unstable airmass ahead of the boundary produced a round of severe weather with high wind gusts and downed trees.
