Wind gust was recorded on a public weather station located 1 mile east-northeast of Mackeys, NC in the Albemarle Sound.

A line of thunderstorms impacted the Coastal Plain, the inland sounds, and rivers during the evening hours on the 15th. Some of the storms embedded within this line were strong to severe in nature bringing strong wind gusts to the Albemarle and Pamlico Sounds, as well as the Neuse river.
