The Bryan County 911 Call Center reported a tree down across the roadway near the 4900 Block of Highway 280 West.

Thunderstorms across the Deep South were forced eastward by a shortwave across southeast Georgia during late afternoon and early evening hours, encountering a very unstable airmass marked by high levels of mixed-layer CAPE, strong low-level lapse rates, strong 0-6 km bulk shear and inverted v soundings displaying high levels of downdraft CAPE. As a result, several thunderstorms became severe, producing damaging winds and small hail across southeast Georgia.
