A trained spotter located 4 miles W of Broadwater reported very strong winds resulting in numerous large tree branches down. Estimated 60+ MPH.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front was accompanied by multiple clusters of strong to locally severe thunderstorms across western Nebraska during the late afternoon and early evening hours on 10/2. These storms primarily produced strong wind gusts in excess of 60 MPH, resulting in damage to trees and some outbulidings.
