The remnants of a convective complex moved into an unstable environment with enhanced mid-level flow and steep low-level lapse rates. This resulted in the development of a line of storms that moved southeast through the northwestern Piedmont in the evening. Urban flash flooding occurred in Guilford County, and there was some wind damage in Forsyth and Davidson counties.
