Mesonet station MTM52 7.1 SE Hogeland (MT-Meso) measured a wind gust of 64 mph.

Wider weather episode

A potent mid level low tracked eastward near the Canadian border during October 16. The combination of strong westerly flow aloft and a surface low in SK producing a strong pressure gradient resulted in high winds across much of North-central Montana as well as portions of Central Montana.
