A fire lookout tower in southeast Grant County reported golf ball size hail.
Wider weather episode
Increasing moisture and instability from the southwest led to scattered thunderstorms across the mountainous terrain of eastern Oregon. One of these storms was strong enough to produce large hail across southeastern Grant County.
