Ongoing drought conditions in the southern half of Northern Phillips County remained in D2-Severe, while the northern half of the county remained in D1-Moderate. At the end of October the southwestern corner of Northern Phillips County improved to D1-Moderate

to match the northern half of the county, while the southeastern third of the county remained in D2-Severe.

After a warm and dry start to October, record snowfall and below average temperatures led to some drought improvement over the area.
