A small cluster of showers and thunderstorms developed over eastern New Mexico on the evening of the 18th and moved into the eastern TX Panhandle. Conditions favored some strong wind gusts from storms, and these storms did produce a gust of 59 mph measured by a mesonet station in Oldham County.
