Isolated thunderstorms developed over the Pine Ridge of South Dakota during the early evening hours of September 7th. As this isolated thunderstorm activity tracked to the east-southeast, thunderstorm coverage increased over north central Nebraska. Some storms were severe with hail up to half dollar size and wind gusts up to 60 MPH.
