Broadcast media submitted pictures of damage to a storefront in Perry. A large area of stratiform rain with no lightning was moving through the area with gravity waves apparent on TLH radar. Winds perhaps briefly gusted near 60 mph based on the damage photos. No other damage was reported.

Wider weather episode

A large area of stratiform rain moved across the region during the early morning hours of October 12th. Gravity waves were apparent on TLH radar, and wind gusts in excess of 40 mph were briefly measured across extreme southern Georgia and the Florida big bend that were not associated with thunderstorms. Isolated wind damage occurred to a storefront in Perry with winds perhaps briefly gusting near 60 mph based on the damage photos. No other damage was reported.
