Across central and southern Valley County, measured snowfall amounts ranged from 6.0 to 14.0 inches. The greatest amount of 14.0 inches was measured by NWS employees at the NWS Office in Glasgow, MT, and by a CoCoRaHS observer located at CoCoRaHS station MT-VL-2 Glasgow 0.3 N. Times are estimated.

Wider weather episode

An upper level trough combined with atmospheric moisture from the Pacific, led to an early season snowstorm which generated heavy snow across much of northeast Montana.
