Freezing rain was observed in Houston, AK with commuters from Eagle River, AK into the Susitna Valley reporting difficult and icy road conditions.

A band of freezing precipitation spread across the Susitna Valley as a weak upper level low lifted north across the central Gulf. Temperatures hovered near freezing caused areas of freezing rain along the Parks Highway corridor from Houston to Talkeetna.
