Law enforcement reported one serious injury from a wreck along Interstate 90 near mile marker 262. Law enforcement determined that slick roads from winter weather contributed to the vehicle crash. Additionally, there was a public report of 6 inches new snow 15 miles north of Cardwell along MT-69 between 9 PM 10/25 and 312 PM 10/26.

A robust upper trough, embedded waves, and jet energy supported two rounds of snow across North-central and Southwest Montana October 25-27, 2023. The first round, Oct 25 & 26, was more impactful to North-central and Central Montana, while the second round of snow, Oct 26 & 27, was more impactful to Southwest through Central Montana.
