Event narrative
Thunderstorm winds blew down several road signs in Pocahontas. In Greenville, several large trees and numerous tree limbs were blown down.
Wider weather episode
A severe MCS moved through the forecast area during the afternoon hours producing widespread 60-70mph winds and associated damage. The complex moved to the southeast taking advantage of 3500-4500 J/kg of surface-based CAPE.
