Event narrative

Widespread wind damage along the I-64 corridor in Washington County. Numerous tree limbs, power lines and several large trees were blown down in Okawville, Nashville and New Minden.

Wider weather episode

A severe MCS moved through the forecast area during the afternoon hours producing widespread 60-70mph winds and associated damage. The complex moved to the southeast taking advantage of 3500-4500 J/kg of surface-based CAPE.
