Snowfall of 6.0 inches was measured NW of Palmer on Fishhook Road and additional reports of snowfall of 6+ inches was reported from Sutton to Palmer to Wasilla.

An upper level low over the Kuskokwim Valley paired with a trough of low pressure extending across the Gulf of Alaska which brought heavy snow to south central and west central Alaska from the Kuskokwim Basin south and east across the Susitna, Matanuska and Anchorage areas.
