The health director of Laredo reported to the emergency manager of a heat related fatality in the city on September 2nd. Heat index values were around 100 degrees during the afternoon. A 60 year old male passed away due to a heat stroke.

The upper level ridge over northern Mexico moved back into south Texas with excessive heat returning to south Texas after the Labor Day holiday weekend. There was a fatality over the Labor Day weekend in Laredo when a 60 year old man passed away from a heat stroke.
