The entire zone went from Severe(D2) drought to Extreme(D3) drought. The Cooperative Observer in Cliff received 2.22 inches of precipitation which was 0.23 inches above normal.

Wider weather episode

Another month with most areas receiving below normal monsoon season precipitation lead to all areas of southern New Mexico being put into Severe(D2) to Exceptional(D4) drought.
